I started this blog for one reason. My parents. My father is a deputy and my mother works for a public school. They are barely making it every month. They did everything right, got married, had kids, got a house, got cars. But somehow they ended up becoming the "working poor." They have 2 other children besides me. A 17 year old girl, who is bright as can be. But because my parents couldn't afford her senior classes, she is having to suffer. They've had put off paying bills just to keep her in her classes. Everyday bill collectors call, and everyday they feel worse and worse. They also have a little boy, who is 8. He doesn't understand why daddy has to work ALL the time. Or why he didn't get that 50 dollar toy. They need help. And I'm lost. My father is an amazing man, he works so hard. He cuts grasses, builds things, sells anything, will do any odd job for little money. Recently, he had to cut off his insurance for the family just to keep the lights on. I don't know how much longer they will be able to keep going like this. It saddens me to see my father posting on Facebook that he needs help. Anything anyone can do would help.
